As a foundation committed to improving the well-being and quality of life of older people, Sahaja Bali Foundation welcomed this collaboration as a tangible form of synergy between the medical service sector and the community. This activity serves as a gesture of care for the health of older individuals, especially those living in rural areas with limited access to healthcare services.

The event began with an opening and welcoming remarks from various parties. In his speech, Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Ketut Sukadarma, S.Kp., M.Kes., Director of Operational Services at Ngoerah Hospital, emphasized the hospital’s commitment to bringing healthcare services closer to older people, including those in remote areas.

As a further act of care, a joint team from Ngoerah Hospital and Sahaja Bali Foundation also conducted home visits to older individuals with limited mobility. During these visits, they not only conducted health assessments but also distributed basic food packages to the seniors visited.

The presence of the medical team and volunteers was warmly welcomed by local residents and village leaders, including the Village Head of Mendoyo Dauh Tukad, Gusti Putu Ediana, who expressed high appreciation for the event. He expressed hope that similar activities would continue to be held to provide real attention and care to older people in the village.

Sahaja Bali Foundation remains committed to expanding the reach of such initiatives and strengthening cross-sector partnerships in building an age-friendly environment.

“We believe that every older person deserves to be healthy, respected, and cared for. Through this activity, we aim to show that collaboration and compassion can reach those who need it most,” concluded Dr. Suka Aryana.
